Serious acting won him the 'Tonight" award for best Actor for his portrayal of 'Galanakis' in Grey Hoffmeyer's 'The Big Time'.
Apart from live cabaret performances for clubs and corporates local and international, Alain has been involved on both sides of the camera in movies, particularly in the Candid Camera genre. He wrote and directed 'You're in the Movies' and 'Funny Stuff'. Mazda commissioned Alain to produce write and direct 20 Candid Camera inserts for M-Net
He launched a new concept of a 'regular once a week ongoing Hypno Show' at CARNIVAL CITY. It is now going into its eleventh year with Alain performing there at alternate three month periods.
